Students
In addition to a reduced registration rate, there are a variety of ways for which student attendance at IUCr 2014 has been supported. Graduate students and post-doctoral fellows were encouraged to submit applications to the IUCr Travel Support Program and due to the overwhelming number of applications received, more funds were sought and a Sponsor a Student Award Program was established to allow exhibitors to contribute directly to students whose abstracts match their organization’s interests. Because these new funding sources are only now being confirmed, notification of the status of student applications has been delayed to April 2nd, 2014.
A volunteer program will enable local students to gain behind-the-scene experience while networking with future colleagues from around the world. If you are interested, please contact Annick Guyot at [email protected].
Other programs exist for students in specific universities:
McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. McMaster students wishing to obtain travel support for attendance at IUCr 2014 should have their supervisors contact Dr. Jim Britten in the MAX Diffraction Facility, Dept. of Chemistry and Chemical Biology.
Note to International Students coming to IUCr 2014 from the US : In addition to the requirements listed on our Entry Formalities page, if you are in the United States with F-1 or M-1 status, you will also be required to submit:
